I used to buy a single Batchelor of Park Drive with my dinner money. The first full packet I bought was 10 Anchor.

Used to buy 10 Sovereign for 96p or something.
When I gave up 20 Marlboro Lights were £8 or more.

First fag i tried was a JPS...was absolutlely disgusting and never went near a fag again after that. My dad (rest his soul smoked weights from the age of 8 til.he died at 82 years of age) his lungs were as clean as a whistle. How did that happen?

Single no.6 from jack spiro down white horse lane stepney. First full pack was 10 embassey regal. Started rolling my own when i was 17 and have been doing so ever since.

As a sideline ,Geordies only smoke embassy regals.
White kids were B&H.
Indian kids were rothmans
The swarthy types that used to go in the arcades in soho were Dunhill International .
In my 20s I was an Embassy no1 (red) man.
Last Taylor made smokes I bought were Marlboro lights.

As an 8 year old with some bigger mates while fishing on the Roding I had a couple of Guards. Didn't smoke again until I was 12.
If you were a bit skint Golds at the top of Barkingside high rd would sell singles of the cheap brands; No 6 or No 10, which were fucking horrible. God know what they put in them.
Now only an occasional smoker of French fags (Gauloise, Gitanes) cos I like the flavour. But seeing as they're well nigh impossible to get over here I suppose I'm a non-smoker now.
